Hi. I'm The Dumbass Cartoonist, which is something I had hopped you'd be able to determine for yourself by the simple fact that the link you clicked on should have told you where you were going. I could be wrong, it's been known to happen before.

Now that you're here I guess it would be rude if I didn't tell you a little about myself. The most obvious thing should be the fact that I'm a dumbass. I'm proud of that, and decided to share it with the rest of the world (that would be you - in part, please don't get the idea that you are the entire world). There is so much more to me than just a dumbass who doodles. If you really wanted to learn about me it'd probably take a lifetime (trust me, I've known me for as long as I've been alive and I still don't know me as well as I should).

The basics of who I am are rather simple. I'm a guy in his late 20's that lives in Denver (Colorado for the geographically challenged readers). I try to lead a normal type life. That's the kind of life where one goes to work, earns money, pays bills, and gets drunk on the weekends. So for things have been working out rather well in that regard. That's the boring stuff so I won't go into detail on that (I'm a dork, so even me being drunk isn't interesting).

The thing that should interest most people out there (at least the ones that show up here) is the fact that I draw. I've been drawing for a long time, only recently pushing myself to become better and turn it into something more than just doodles on the side of a notebook. My main inspiration has been my good friend Seneca (who you can find out more about in the Meet My Friends section). His own art as well as the antics of both him and Evin have provided me with the determination and the desire to not only improve my skill, but also share their insanity with the world. The long story short version is that now I've turned a stupid little hobby into a stupid little website.

My sense of humor, used extensively here, stems from many locations. There is a long tradition of twisted humor in my family. I was also influenced greatly, and at a young age, by the likes of Monty Python, M*A*S*H, Police Squad, and others. To that end I now have a sense of humor that borders on the bizarre, demented, darkly sarcastic, oddly well informed/spoken, and sometimes verbose. Not many people understand it when first they encounter my humor, and it has gotten me in trouble more than once. The most important thing to remember is that I rarely am serious. Seriously.

I have other hobbies and interests in life besides just doodling. I enjoy photography, playing chess, taking long walks on the beach (a challenge in Colorado but I manage from time to time), cooking, and just hanging out with friends. I am 5'9, about 150 pounds, with short brown hair, and glasses. I'm single and would make a great catch. Really, I would. I get told that all the time. Not to make it sound like I'm desperate or anything. I'm just single. Very single. Really, very single.
